SignDraft specializes in professional drafting support for the sign industry. We prepare drawing packages for client review, landlord review, permit submission, and project coordination. Typical deliverables include renderings, dimensioned elevations, site plans, location plans, material callouts, mounting concepts, and supporting documentation that clearly communicates your project's intent.
-
We support interior and exterior commercial signage including wall signs, cabinet signs, monument signs, pylon signs, blade signs, channel letters, ADA signage, wayfinding systems, tenant signage, and multi-site branding programs. Whether your project includes one sign or hundreds of locations, we adapt our workflow to meet your needs.
-
Absolutely. Most of our clients prefer drawings branded with their own logo, title block, and contact information so the documents appear as an extension of their company. If you prefer a neutral presentation, we're happy to accommodate that as well.
STARTING A PROJECT
-
We typically need your logo or artwork, site photos, project address, desired sign type(s), basic dimensions, architectural drawings or site survey information (when available), and any applicable landlord criteria or municipal sign requirements. We'll also provide a simple project checklist to make gathering information easy.
-
You can upload files through our website, email them directly, or share them using Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or another cloud-based file sharing service.
-
Most standard drawing packages are completed within 1–3 business days. Larger or more complex projects may require additional time. We'll always provide an estimated turnaround before work begins.
-
Yes. Expedited turnaround is available depending on project scope and current workload. Let us know your deadline and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
DRAWING PACKAGES
-
During review, drawing packages are typically delivered as flattened multi-page PDF files for consistent viewing, printing, and permit submission. Once approved, we can also provide clean vector PDF or Adobe Illustrator reference files when requested. These reference files are not production-ready fabrication files.
-
Our drawings communicate the proposed project and may serve as fabrication reference after approval. Final shop drawings, fabrication methods, production files, and installation details should always be prepared and verified by the sign fabricator or installer based on approved documents and actual field conditions.
-
No. SignDraft does not provide engineering, structural calculations, or stamped drawings. When engineering is required, it must be completed by a licensed professional engineer in the appropriate jurisdiction.
-
No. Any electrical information shown is for illustrative reference only to indicate general power location or connection intent. Final electrical design and wiring must be completed by a licensed electrician or electrical engineer.
PERMITTING
-
Our drawing packages are prepared using the project information, applicable criteria, and requirements provided by the client. Because every jurisdiction interprets regulations differently, final code compliance, permit approval, and interpretation remain the responsibility of the permit applicant and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
-
We prepare the documentation needed for permit submission, but we do not submit permit applications on behalf of clients.
-
We're happy to assist with revisions resulting from review comments. Minor revisions are often included, while more substantial changes may require an additional fee depending on the scope. Our goal is to prepare complete, organized drawing packages that help minimize revisions whenever possible.
